Churn™ process

At Tip Top, we know icy ice cream never tastes great! We use the Tip Top Double Churn™ process to ensure smooth and creamy ice cream every time.

This Double Churn™ process has given us smooth and creamy ice cream for over 75 years.


Smooth & Creamy

Stage 1 - Cold churn

Slowly churning ice cream mix at 4°C which makes the ice crystals smaller.

Stage 2 - Rotational churn

We then use a rapid rotation churning process - a mixer beating up to 250 RPM which smoothes the ice crystals.
