Ice Cream Croissants With Chocolate Sauce
Makes Four
Ingredients
75 g Milk Chocolate, broken into pieces
15 g/1 tbsp Unsalted Butter
30ml/2 tbsp Golden Syrup
4 Croissants 90ml/6 tbsp
Good quality ready made Vanilla Custard
4 large scoops of Tip Top Vanilla Ice Cream
Icing sugar, for dusting
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 180ºC. Put the chocolate in a small, heavy-based saucepan. Add the butter and syrup and heat very gently until smooth, stirring the mixture frequently.
Split the croissants in half horizontally and place the bases on a baking sheet. Spoon the custard over the bases, cover with the lids and bake for 5 minutes until warmed through.
Remove the lids and place a scoop of ice cream in each croissant. Spoon half the sauce over the ice cream and press the lids down gently. Bake the croissants for 1 minute ore.
Dust the filled croissants with icing sugar, spoon over the remaining chocolate sauce and serve immediately.
